Close CombatProtect Yourself!

The first and foremost reason for learning Close Quarter Combat is to protect yourself on the job (refering to law enforcement and special forces individuals). If you can't protect yourself, you can't protect the public. Learning Close Quarter Combat is important because dangerous encounters usually happen at close range.

For example, very rarely will a person attack you from 10 feet away. These altercations happen up close when you are trying to take control, such as when you are applying handcuffs or when you are writing a ticket. You're too close to get to your gun and you don't know when the attack will happen. This takes a defense system that works quickly and efficiently.

Close quarter Kenpo combat is also very necessary in The Ultimate Fighting Championship and all mixed martial art tournaments (MMA). Most MMA fighters focus on stand up fight and grappling. Very little training is spent on in fighting or close quarter Kenpo combat skills and attributes. Probably because close combat fighting is very intricate and takes years to develop the spontaneous trained response necessary for MMA tournament action. Most fighters have limited training time in between fights. To pursue "learning" new methods of fighting can be difficult depending on training and fight schedules, so fighters focus on what they do best.

The value of close quarter combat skills is invaluable and will augment your skills as a martial artist to a level most MA's never pursue or fully accomplish.  I personally, have worked with many MA's from various styles and the majority have no concept of infighting, or close quarter combat techniques, skills and attributes.

Twin Dragons Close Quarter Kenpo Combat is designed to override the central nervous system to provide immediate incapacitation and control of suspects, assailants and opponents. In most cases, these techniques lead to simple, easy to master control holds and other submission techniques. Further, the techniques for self-preservation against armed combatants at close range can give you the tools you need to protect yourself against deadly force threats when your firearm may not be a useable option. These techniques are designed to save lives and enable you to gain control with minimal risk of injury to you and sometimes... the assailant.

These classes are structured to be understandable by anyone. No martial arts training or prior experience is required. Lengthy study in martial arts is not required for you to defend yourself and your loved ones.

In these classes you will learn how to:

  • Use common items as weapons.
  • Use these weapons on nerve points to disable an attacker.
  • Disarm an attacker who is using a knife.
  • Escape an attacker holding a knife against you.
  • Disarm an attacker who is using a gun.
  • Escape an attacker holding a gun against you.
  • Disable an attacker while you are sitting down.
  • Escape or disable an attacker who is using a bat, club, or stick.
  • Escape or disable an attacker holding a gun to your head.
  • Escape or disable two attackers holding guns on you.

What Every Martial Artist and Hand-to-Hand Instructor Doesn't Know

Many practitioners simply believe that the problem lies in their inability to grasp the technique, or that they need more practice, or more and more videos and books.

However, it's been my professional experience that it is the lack of effective learning skills that holds people back from becoming proficient at hand-to-hand close quarter combat quickly and easily…and even worse it will hold them back from being able to use their new skills when the need presents itself.

"Being Talented or Athletic Has Little To Do With
Becoming a Dominant Fighter...At Any Level"

What you must do is “hardwire” martial art and hand-to-hand close quarter combat skills by training "HOW" to be a superior combat fighter, “HOW” to shut off our natural mental blocks against avoiding pain, and “HOW” to pick up traditionally complex moves in only a few repetitions instead of thousands.

Personally, I have found “talent”, or “athletic ability” had little to do with how good at hand-to-hand you can become. I have ssen the “worst-of-the-worst” goofballs in training, and taught them “how” to learn close quarter combat skills, and “how” to effectively practice correctly for efficiency.

In only 12 classes ( the equivalent of 2 days ), we can teach anyone the same exact basic hand-to-hand close quarter combat training that it usually takes 2 months for a “good fighter, martial artist, soldier or law enforcement person ” to become familiar with.

And unlike the other MA's and self defense students from other self defense centers who could only “remember” techniques, our close quarter combat students actually “knew” them.

Their natural pain-avoidance reaction to combat had been “reprogrammed” with an automatic combat response.

At Twin Dragons Close Quarter Kenpo Combat Classes you will absolutely dominate anyone, even if who have never had any learning skills training before.
